CIU Celebrates 11th Graduation
Clarke International University on Friday 15th March 2021, held its first ever virtual graduation. This is the 11th graduation the University has celebrated. It was such a colorful, unique and successful virtual experience. 300 students were graduated in the fields of Allied Health, Public Health, Nursing and Midwifery. The graduation was attended by the guest of honor His excellence Mr. William Carlos the Irish Ambassador to Uganda. In his remarks to the graduating class, he said: ..."In the domain of healthcare, we must never ever forget that every number is a person: a father or mother, a brother or sister, a son or daughter. Today is the official passage of you joining a precious pillar of society--one that seeks to protect and promote the health of others...such a noble profession. We know that being a healthcare worker requires more than just intellect. It is wonderful to see that values were an essential part of your curriculum. It can be said that we make a living by what we get; but we make a life by what we give. As graduates of CIU you are now armed with the relevant expertise to make a difference in your respective communities...May Innovation be your companion."
The Promoter of the University, Dr. Ian Clarke stressed the role that women play in developing and changing our lives and Country. He praised the excellent management of the University under two women, the Vice chancellor Dr. Rose Clarke Nanyonga, and the registrar Miss. Evelyn Ayot.
The graduation was held at the University’s new campus on kawagga Close, off Karungi road, in Muyenga Bukasa.
