Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Common Mental Disorders

Depression and anxiety (referred to as common mental disorders or CMD) are a major public health concern in the world today. Those who suffer from CMD may be inhibited; it can prevent them from leading productive lives, worsen coexisting physical health problems, and in some instances, can even lead to suicide.

While there are a range of simple and effective treatments that can be provided to patients suffering from CMD, unfortunately, most patients do not receive these treatments. This course will equip you to recognize and help those impacted by CMD.

It will provide foundational knowledge about stress, explore a variety of counseling techniques and strategies, practice two different kinds of talk treatments, and offer guidance on when to refer a patient to a mental health specialist.

We’re looking forward to learning with you.

8 weeks
The course is all online, consisting of a wide variety of learning formats.

This Course is 350,000 Shillings and 10,000 Shillings application fee.
