Clarke International University (CIU) in partnership with Kiwoko Hospital, Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Temple (Hampton Virginia USA) and Kansanga Miracle center Reuben Clinic conducted a 2 days community medical camp from 27th to 28th June, 2018 to the people of Kansanga, Wheeling zone, Kyadondo County.
Komuhangi Alimah led the CIU team that comprised of students from the Institute of Public Health and Management (IPHM) who offered talks on Nutrition, Hygiene and Sanitation, Family planning, Immunization, prevention and control of communicable diseases and risk factors for non-communicable diseases.
Students from school of Nursing and Institute of Allied Health sciences specifically those pursuing Clinical Medicine and Medical Laboratory Technology offered the following services; HIV Screening, General assessment and treatment of commonly prevailing conditions.
Individual participants received merit award certificates in recognition of their valuable contributions and Clarke International University was awarded a merit award certificate for its contribution in community activities.
